A staggering 1,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every day.
As the word spreads about our respite services, we receive more and and more requests from families who need our assistance. From days out to short breaks, we enable families to create memories which last a lifetime.
There are many ways to support us from taking part in an event and raising sponsorship funds to making a gift in your will. But it is not just in financial terms that you can help us. You might want to join our volunteer programme or encourage your employer to adopt us as their official charity!
Every year hundreds of people take part in a sporting event to raise sponsorship funds for us. We have an excellent range of sporting events for our supporters to take part in.
So why not have a look at our sailing, running, cycling, skiing or trekking websites and see if there is an event which grabs your attention! We’ll help you with a training plan and help you set up your own fundraising page so that your friends and family members can support you!
Alternatively, you might have an idea for your own fundraising event. We can help you with event planning, insurance and promotional material too. If you have an idea which you think could valuable raise funds for us we would love to hear from you. So why not get in touch to see how we can help!
There are many ways to support us financially. You might want to make a one-off donation in support of our work. Alternatively, you might consider making a small donation every month. Monthly donations are incredibly valuable to small charities like ours as they enable us to plan ahead.
Many people also choose to leave a gift in their will to a cancer charity. In doing so, people are leaving a lasting legacy long after they are gone. A legacy can take many forms. In addition to leaving a sum of money money to charity, many people also choose to gift assets in their will. Such assets might include a yacht, caravan or holiday home.
We are very interested in assets which we can use to provide days out or holidays for families living with cancer. This is what we call ‘respite‘.
