I Really Enjoyed The Island And Being In The Moment

My cancer diagnosis took me to a very dark place this year after fighting to access treatment from the NHS for my stage 4 breast cancer.

So being offered this free break to the Isle of Wight enabled me to stop thinking about it, as my mental health has been so bad I’ve been in such a dark place.

I was overwhelmed by the generous gift from the cottage owner (John) and the compassion of the charity also supplying the free ferry tickets.

I really enjoyed the Island, the sound of the ocean, and being in the moment. It gave me a chance to feel like myself again, not just a cancer patient.

The cottage was so lovely… like a home from home… and so beautiful inside.

I am so grateful for this opportunity… it was needed so very much.
